For too long, families navigating the autism spectrum in Rockdale, Newton, and Henry counties have found themselves in a "service desert". You have likely spent countless hours driving across the state , making exhausting drives to Atlanta, Alpharetta, or Kennesaw just to find a quality autism social group.
Finding the right support shouldn't be the hardest part of the journey. That is exactly why SM GANT Ministries is stepping into the gap to build an oasis for neurodiverse youth (ages 10-20) and their families.
Bringing Autism Support to Conyers
We are bringing the support directly to Conyers, Georgia. To make this a reality, SM GANT Ministries partnered with Newbridge NW Psychology Associates to create this space. By teaming up, we are providing engaging, expert-guided social group activities right in your backyard.
This initiative serves as a vital hub for Conyers GA autism support, offering essential Rockdale County community resources and Newton County family support.
A Space for the Entire Family
This journey impacts everyone, which is why our autism family support group is designed for the whole family unit.
For the Youth: We offer neurodiverse youth activities for ages 10-20 in a welcoming, low-pressure environment to build genuine friendships. We embrace all communication preferences, whether your child is fully speaking, non-speaking, or relies on AAC device communication.
For the Parents: While the youth connect, parents and family members have a dedicated space to breathe, share resources, and connect with like-minded people.
For the Siblings: Siblings need community just as much as anyone else, and they are absolutely welcome to attend, play, and connect.
We also know that sensory sensitivities are a major factor. We work hard to maintain a sensory-friendly community , complete with a dedicated, low-stimulation "Chill Zone" for anyone who needs to step away and regulate in quiet.
Breaking Down the Financial Barrier
Cost should never block your family from finding a community. We are deeply committed to ensuring that money is never the reason a youth cannot get the support they deserve.
We accept insurance through Newbridge NW Psychology Associates. For those without coverage, services are highly subsidized by SM GANT Ministries so no family is ever turned away.
